On Sunday nights, Heat becomes "Club Sin," with no cover all night and plenty of drink specials. Heat, once the stomping ground of the late Erica Andrews and recently retired Shady Lady, is now home to Rey Lopez Entertainment, who brings many of the nationally recognized drag performers from RuPaul's Drag Race to the Alamo City. Not only does Heat have a reputation for dancing, the club is also known for its infamous drag performances. Don't forget your dancing boots if you're headed here, as the club's website claims it to be one of the city's "premiere dance clubs." Along with the main room and bar, the club includes a video lounge and recently renovated outdoor patio.

Located on the corner of East Evergreen and North Main, the Heat nightclub is a towering figure in the city's gay nightlife. From the trendy Heat nightclub to Club Essence (where almost anything goes), the strip on Main Avenue is sure to have something for all tastes and personalities. Located just north of Downtown, San Antonio's "gayborhood" is currently "on the rise" with new additions to the neighborhood (check out Ouch Underwear and the soon-to-open Boxer Bar) and recent renovations and expansions to many of its long-standing businesses. Ashley and her staff at SqWires are the best of the best and I would recommend for any event you are planning. For a fun-filled night of dancing, boozing and entertainment, head on over to the strip on Main Avenue. I was more than impressed by the whole evening. The staff was kind and on top of things, and there were never long lines at the bars. Our guests were comfortable, well fed, and had an amazing party. The Annex is already a stunning room with out much need for decoration but with our minimalist touches they really made the place expressive. Ashley and her staff worked together with my friend/wedding coordinator to make a magical environment for the reception. Our reception was held in the SqWires Annex. It made for a very beautiful and intimate ceremony.

They room has giant windows for natural lighting and a soft rustic feel. We ended up calling our rain plan and using SqWires front room for the ceremony. Every time we went to SqWires for a meeting we left feeling relieved and excited for our upcoming event. She became someone we could bounce ideas off of and help create our vision and keep our feet on the ground. Ashley our coordinator was genuine, thoughtful and down to earth. It was also one of the best decisions we made. SqWires was one of our first big decisions when planning the wedding. Bethany Budde had spearheaded this operation and continues to run the thriving business.
